About Us

Allow us to introduce ourselves—Denise Edkins and Stephen Laughlin. We are a husband and wife team who started shooting weddings because were disappointed at the photography coverage of our own wedding. We have over 14 years of experience shooting for the advertising industry (and continue to do so today with our company – ArtOvernite.com). We shoot using all digital Nikon "rapid shoot" professional cameras utilizing both flash and natural lighting. (During a full day event we normally shoot at least 4000 photographs, but we can shoot less if you desire.)

Your Day specializes in photojournalistic style (candid) photography, but we also cover the traditional (posed) portrait shots, if you so desire. We can provide color and black and white shots. Our aim is to make you happy, cover what you want, and allow you to enjoy your day. We are happy to provide as many or as few services as you desire. Traditionally we like to cover: the Bride and Groom getting ready, the ceremony and the reception. However, we are flexible to your individual needs.
